The port was absolute chaos in the morning with so many tours leaving at once, but our guide handled the ticketing quickly. The boat itself was comfortable and the kayaking around Ba Hang was definitely the highlight. Lunch was mostly squid and fish, which was fresh, but bring your own snacks if you are not a fan of seafood.

We opted for the bamboo boat instead of kayaking because the sun was already intense by 9 AM. The local lady rowing us was super sweet. Thien Cung cave is huge and well-lit, but be prepared for a steep climb up the stairs. Wear sneakers, not flip-flops!

Solid half-day tour if you are tight on time like we were. The boat didn't feel overcrowded like some of the others we saw. Getting close to the Incense Burner rock to compare it to the 200k bill was a fun photo op. The shuttle picked us up exactly at 7:35 AM from our hotel in Bai Chay, so no waiting around.

Good value for $32. The bay views are exactly like the pictures. Just a heads up that drinks on the boat are quite a bit more expensive than on land, so bring extra Vietnamese Dong. The guide's English was decent and he kept the group on schedule without rushing us too much.

Perfect length for my 6-year-old. The 4 hours meant he didn't get bored or seasick. The crew made sure we had properly fitting child life jackets for the bamboo boat ride, which I appreciated. Dropped off right at our hotel just in time for an afternoon nap.
